Aayush Amit – The boy behind “Bihar Uncensored”

We all have dreamt to do something that has never been done by anyone, which will make us different from others. In the journey of pursuing our dream, some people will get success and failures, where some are still struggling and working hard to achieve success. Sometimes, we are not able to do what we wanted to do and just decide to take a step back from our dreams but we should never lose hope and be consistent towards our goals. The story we are going to share is the perfect example of working on our goals consistently. This is the story of a young boy who has shared his state’s positive and undiscovered side on social media platforms.

Aayush Amit, a 19yrs old, kind soul with the vision to fulfill his dream, from Motihari, Bihar, the founder of “Bihar Uncensored”. He started this initiative on 25th April 2020. The reason behind starting this initiative is that he wants to change the perspective of people about Bihar. He started this initiative to showcase the tradition, culture, and with the vision of Bihar Tourism and creating affection of Biharis towards their culture and tradition.

His journey is full of ups and downs but we know that hard work pays off and he proved it. The story behind this initiative is that After his financial breakdown in 2016, he always looked for ways to earn a little or more. He had started giving tuitions and also started a part-time job as an advertiser for a tiffin service. During that time he used to promote his brand on different social media handles such as different big pages on Instagram. And we all are aware that covid changed many lives during this lockdown. He also faced a big crisis due to this lockdown. His financial state had to suffer a lot because his father was jobless at that time. He was managing all his expenses with much difficulty in those times. On a random night, he thought, “what if he owns his Instagram page having a good number of followers so that he can do advertising and can earn a little for his family.”

He was thinking that his page should be relatable with something, sometimes he thought about meme pages and general knowledge. After thinking and planning about all of these he fell asleep. And the next day he discussed it with his close friend. He was also from Bihar but he was not happy being a “Bihari”. The reason behind him being unhappy with the state of Bihar is that he had a perception of the negative side of Bihar due to the media. Because the media often shows things related to the TRP. He tried to talk about the positive sides of Bihar with his friend but he was not convinced at that time. And suddenly an idea appeared in his mind that “why don’t he show his state, undiscovered and unseen things to the people on social media platforms? He was thinking to keep the dedication and focus of the page to show the bright side of his state “

Then, on the night of 25th April 2020, suddenly at 11 pm after thinking so many times about it and a lot of discussion with a friend, he created a page named “Bihar Uncensored”. He started the page by sharing the positive and beautiful sides of the state but somewhere he felt that he would not be able to continue because he didn’t know that so many people would join and support him. After coming into this field of tourism he felt that so many people are out there who are consistently working hard to improve the scattered image of Bihar. He would not be able to discover so many if he had not started the page. 

After an increase in the number of followers on the page, he decided to do the paid promotions to manage expenses which were secondary but was important too. With the hype on Instagram, He took more interest in the page, He was enjoying every bit of it. And after his hard work, People also started supporting him. After reading the comments on posts he felt overwhelmed. Slowly and steadily people started to join the page and just within a year the page reached 10k followers and it became a family of 10k people.

He wants to explore and understand deeply the undiscovered side of his state. He wants to show the world the bright and positive side of Bihar. He also wants his local people and natives to know the beauty of their state before exploring the other state or countries. He feels that people won’t be able to see the beauty of waterfalls like Rohtash even in Rishikesh. 

He shared that he has not achieved his desired milestone yet but taking every further step makes him feel delighted and successful towards his motive in this journey. What he did yesterday is the only inspiration and what he has to do tomorrow is the motivation. He had not received any milestone yet but taking every further step made him feel delighted towards his motive.

He shared that “The journey has just started, no special moment has been created yet but I’m looking forward to celebrating each festival in a different orphanage with the contribution of my page and family, it will be the best moment. But yet to be created”. And With the vision of Bihar Tourism and creating affection of Biharis towards their culture and tradition is the only inspiration for him in this journey.

We can say that he is a perfect example of this statement: ” When life gives you lemon you can make lemonade.” And He proved it.

A special message from his side

“Anything in your life happens for the best reason, I repeat “Anything”. You may not find what is the best in that, at the moment but sooner you’ll realize that it happened for the best. 

Never drive your mind and vision according to others, always use your eye to see the world around you. There are lots of positive things, you even don’t have time to see them all then why waste it focusing on the negative things?  

Make a clear vision and just be dedicated to yourself, be honest to yourself you’ll find the way of anything, I said “anything”.
